B-29
Superfortress
| I now have all the material and
am turning this into CDs! Special thanks to Thomas
Woodford for the very generous loan of his AN 01-20EJ-1
Handbook of Flight Operation Instructions! This set has the complete Erection & Maintenance manual (AN 01-20EJ-2) and the Wright 3350 engine service manual to pour over. The E&M alone is 950 pages with about an additional 75 pages or so of revisions. The manuals are full of amazing and interesting information about the first pressurized bomber and the plane that fought a big part of the pacific bombing campaign. The illustrations are detailed and beautiful - and there are a lot of them. This will also probably be a 3 CD set. The B-29 was a real first in many ways and the last of the great WWII bombers. Contents: AN 01-20EJ-1 Pilots Handbook of Flight Operation Instructions (4/15/47) (254 pp) AN 01-20EJ-2 Erection & Maintenance Instructions for Army Model B-29 Airplane (3/20/45) (950 pp) AN 01-20EJ-2 April 30 1945 Revisions (~75 pp) AN 02-35JA-2 Service Instructions R-3350-13, -18, -19, -21, -35, -41 Aircraft Engines (97 pp) And a few rare "goodies" like pocket maintenance manuals, etc. |
